About Us

What is an Anglican? (Ang-gluh-kin)

St Stephen’s has been active in Tullahoma for almost 14 years. We are a modern community with an ancient faith. We’re located next to Muse Montessori at the intersection of W. Grundy and Cedar Lane and worship in a chapel size space. Our members come from a variety of social, educational backgrounds. Several are lifelong residents of Tullahoma. We are a Protestant church birthed out of the Protestant Reformation, with a worship format that mimics the church of the apostles. Our first Book of Common Prayer was published in 1549. During the Colonial era in what would be America, the Anglican Church established itself in Virginia, New York, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia; The first Anglican-Episcopal church in Tennessee was developed around 1829 in Franklin.

What do we do at St Stephen’s Anglican Church on Sunday mornings?

  • We begin the morning with Bible Study at 9:45am
  • Worship begins at 11am and lasts till noon or shortly after.
  • We have a nursery for small children and babies
  • We read several lessons from the scripture.
  • We offer Prayers for others, ourselves, and the world.
  • We sing hymns and contemporary music.
  • We hear a sermon based on the scripture of the day.
  • We have communion every week.
  • We worship in a prescribed order, as all churches do.
  • We fellowship afterwards.

Our Mission is to spread the Gospel both near and far.

Everyone is welcome!

Please join us and let’s make the journey of faith together.
